Hawaii Police investigators have charged 25-year-old Patrick John Lindsey of Pahoa for several offenses stemming from an armed robbery that occurred last year in Hilo.
In the early morning hours of June 24 2012, Lindsey allegedly accosted a 55-year-old Hilo male as he parked his car at his Kukuau street home.
Lindsey is accused of brandishing a firearm and threatening the victim. When the man’s 54-year-old wife heard the commotion, she reportedly entered the carport, whereupon Lindsey allegedly threatened her with the weapon before fleeing on foot.
The suspect was described at the time as possibly a young local male with a slim build and fair complexion, wearing dark clothing and a mask to conceal his identity. Neither victim sustained injury.

Yesterday, after conferring with prosecutors, detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigation Unit charged Lindsey with first degree attempted burglary, two counts of first degree terroristic threatening, and attempted first degree unauthorized motor vehicle entry.
Bail for Lindsey has been set at $105,000, and he remains in police custody pending his initial court appearance today.
