Police Looking For Credit-Card Fraud Couple
Big Island police are looking to identify a man and woman wanted for fraudulently using a credit card to rack up thefts of more than $35,000 worth of merchandise in Kona.
The woman is described as of Asian-Polynesian mix, in her late 20s to early 30s. She is 5-foot-7 and 175 pounds, and speaks with a raspy voice. She has long, straight jet-black hair with extensions, eye lash extensions and a dark blotchy spot on the right side of her face that may be a birthmark.
The man is African-American and about the same age as the woman. He is about 5-foot-7 and 135 pounds. He has dreadlocks and a missing front tooth, and walks with a limp.
The couple is believed to be from California and may already have left Kona.
Anyone with information on the pair is asked to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
Police are also reminding merchants to follow proper protocol when making credit-card transactions, especially when they involve large purchases.
