Water Service Interruption Thursday in Hilo Neighborhood

Water will be temporarily turned off along both sides of Pohakulani Street in Hilo Thursday to allow for a waterline connection and relocation of Hawaiian Tel conduit lines.

According to the Department of Water Supply, the shut-off, which is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will also affect residents on West Kawailani Street between Pohakulani and Iwalani streets.

Residents may notice discolored water and air trapped in lines when water services resumes.
