Grants of $500 to $1,000 are available for Kānaka Maoli caring for the ʻāina and strengthening island communities.

Deadline to apply is Nov. 16, so don’t wait. Apply online now.

Projects can focus on:

  • Restoring and protecting ʻāina and wai.
  • Growing local food and strengthening food security.
  • Reducing wildfire risk and building community resilience.

The hope is to reach people doing meaningful work who might not traditionally have access to funding opportunities.

No nonprofit affiliation or grant-writing experience is needed. People are encouraged to apply whether they’re just beginning a new project or continuing meaningful work already underway.

Visit the Indigenous Just Transition website for additional information.
