The car company donates a portion of vehicle sales through the annual Share the Love event.
Subaru Hawaiʻi’s is holding its 15th annual Share the Love event, donating $350 to a local nonprofit for every new Subaru purchased in Hawaiʻi.
The annual campaign runs Nov. 1 to Dec. 31.
“For 15 years, Share the Love has been a reminder that Subaru Hawaiʻi is more than a car company; we are also committed to fostering positive change in the communities where we live and work,” said Lance Ichimura, senior vice president of Subaru Hawai’i, in a press release.
Over the past 14 years, Subaru Hawaiʻi has donated more than $440,000 to local nonprofits.
This year, money will be distributed to three organizations whose missions align with Subaru Hawaiʻi’s Love Promises and reflect the causes the brand supports.
- Make-A-Wish Hawaii grants life-changing wishes for Hawaiʻi keiki fighting critical illnesses.
- Hawaiʻi Humane Society rescues and shelters animals and provides emergency veterinary care, temporary housing and adoption services across the state. Donations will be split among four locations on O’ahu, Maui, Hawaiʻi Island and Kauaʻi.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaiʻi, a new Share the Love partner this year, provides mentorship programs that help Hawaiʻi’s youth build confidence and reach their full potential.
Each nonprofit is eligible for up to $10,000.
