Tai Lake, collaboration president and master woodworker, said in an email that to date, the collaboration and its community partners have donated $50,000 in art supplies.

“We were able to quadruple our giving program this year with art supplies going to 17 art teachers at 10 island schools and four scholarships awarded for financially disadvantaged youth,” Lake said.

Scholarship recipients attended summer art programs at Donkey Mill Art Center in Holualoa and Volcano Art Center in Volcano.
