Update at 2:39 p.m. Sept. 30: Hawai‘i Police Department reports Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) is open to all traffic. Police thank the public for its cooperation.

Original post at 1:12 p.m. Sept. 30: Hawai‘i Police Department advises motorists to AVOID Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) near the 111-mile marker because of a traffic collision.

The highway will be closed for at least the next 2 hours between Ōnouli Road and Nāpōʻopoʻo Road.
