Hawaiʻi police, federal law enforcement arrest man on multiple firearm, drug charges
Luis Pagano Colon was arrested and charged after investigators executed three search warrants in a joint operation.
A coordinated, multi-agency law enforcement operation resulted in the arrest of Luis Pagano Colon, 45, after investigators executed three search warrants.
The joint operation between the Hawaiʻi Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Secret Service targeted criminal activity involving illegal narcotics, firearms, prohibited weapons, and ammunition.
Investigators executed three separate search warrants at locations associated with Pagano Colon, resulting in the recovery of eight firearms, approximately 31 grams of methamphetamine, numerous rounds of ammunition, and other evidence related to the investigation.
Following the execution of the search warrants, Pagano Colon was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Promoting a dangerous drug in the first degree
- Promoting a detrimental drug in the second degree
- Three counts of possession of prohibited weapons
- Ownership or possession prohibited
- Eight counts of ownership or possession of firearms
- Two counts of possession of prohibited ammunition
After conferring with the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney on Friday, Sept. 11, Pagano Colon was charged with the above-mentioned offenses, and bail was set at $632,000. He remains in custody awaiting his initial court appearance.
