Child & Family Service to bless new Hilo location
Child & Family Service, Hawaiʻi’s family-centered, full-service nonprofit, will bless its new permanent location in Hilo during a ceremony today (July 30).
The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the new nearly 6,000-square-foot facility, located at 1015 Kīlauea Ave.

A traditional Hawaiian blessing will be followed by remarks shared by Child & Family Service leadership and invited community officials.
The blessing will bring together community leaders, elected officials, donors, partners and supporters to celebrate this milestone and the agency’s continued commitment to strengthening families and expanding access to essential services around Hawaiʻi Island.
Domestic violence support, comprehensive sexual abuse treatment, mental health counseling, family resource programs and other essential services will be available at the more-than-$6-million facility serving Hawaiʻi Island individuals and families.
Child & Family Service served 2,277 Hawaiʻi Island families in fiscal year 2025.
The agency has served Hawaiʻi’s families since 1899. Child & Family Service helps individuals and families throughout the islands address some of life’s most serious situations, including poverty, abuse and neglect.
