Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole this week along Māmalahoa Highway in North Kona, which will necessitate a temporary overnight closure of that part of the highway.

Work is scheduled for 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 23 and 24 just north of Kūāhewa Road. It is being performed overnight to minimize disruptions to the community.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and drive with caution when approaching the work zone. Flagmen will provide traffic control.
