Review finds 22 people previously reported missing have since been located

Hawaiʻi Police Department reports a recent review of department records found 22 people who were previously reported missing have since been located.

Many of them were found in other areas of Hawaiʻi Island, elsewhere in the state or even farther away, which contributed to delays in updating the status of these cases.

The department is releasing this information to ensure its public records are current and accurate.

These people were located:

  • Curtni Maria: Located Jan. 25, 2021, in Waimea.
  • Brian Larimore: Located Oct. 13, 2019 in Kailua-Kona.
  • Isaiah Fernandez: Located Feb. 1, 2019, in Hilo.
  • Joseph Madeiros: located March 6, 2024, in Nevada.
  • Debbie Marie: Located April 29, 2024, in Florida.
  • Keona Taniguchi: Located Feb. 2, 2024, in Kea‘au.
  • Sheri Jo Bowers: Located May 1, 2024, in Kailua-Kona.
  • David Taylor: Located June 25, 2024, in Hilo.
  • Chael Aku: Located July 15, 2024, in Hilo.
  • Charles Poole: Located May 12, 2025, in Honolulu.
  • Jenny Partin: Located Aug. 15, 2024, in Volcano.
  • Anthony Moniz: Located July 23, 2024, in Pāhoa.
  • Marcelo Silva Da Costa: Located June 29, 2025, in Florida.
  • Kasey Bell: Located Sept. 10, 2024, in Mountain View.
  • Toco Hildreth: Located Sept. 7, 2024, in Kailua-Kona.
  • Shayson Estocado: Located Oct. 12, 2024, in Hilo.
  • Anthony Yates: Located Nov. 13, 2024, in Hilo.
  • Danna Delos Santos: Located Dec. 27, 2024, in Hilo.
  • Michelle Beltran: Located Jan. 1, 2025, in Kailua-Kona.
  • Larry Lancanaria: Located March 13, 2025, on O‘ahu.
  • Thomas Delima Jr.: Located May 9, 2025, in Kealakekua.
  • Kawika Makahanaloa: Located June 10, 2025, in Kealakekua. (Deceased in fire, manner of death ruled accidental.)
