Pacific Summer Transportation Education Program by University of Hawaiʻi now accepting applications
The fourth annual Pacific Summer Transportation Education Program is now accepting applications for 2026.
High school students are encouraged to apply for the in-person program scheduled for July 20-24 at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa on O‘ahu.
Students are introduced to science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, skills through the lens of urban and regional planning with a goal of fueling their higher education choices and perhaps interest in transportation-related careers.
Students who want to attend, especially those already interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields, should apply online by June 19.
Students and parents can find additional information about the summer program at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa College of Engineering website or the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation Office of Civil Rights website.
Pacific Summer Transportation Education Program is organized by the College of Engineering through the Federal Highway Administration National Summer Transportation Institute Grant Initiative.
