Traffic Alert: Highway 11 near 54 mile marker closed in both directions

Highway 11 in the Kaʻu District west of Pahala near the 54 mile marker is closed in both directions due to a vehicle blocking both lanes, Hawaiʻi Island police reported at about 11:40 a.m. on Friday.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes until the vehicle has been cleared.
