Hilo Driver’s License Office relocating

The Hilo Driver’s License Office is moving.

It will relocate to 120 Pauahi St. effective Monday, May 11. The office is now located at Hawaiʻi Public Safety Building, located at 349 Kapiʻolani St., which will be closed as of Friday, May 8, to accommodate the transition.

Driver’s license services will resume at 8 a.m. May 11 at the new location on the first floor, in the former Bank of Hawaiʻi branch site.

Moving the office is part of an effort to consolidate the driver’s licensing and motor vehicle registration services into one convenient location.

The Hilo Motor Vehicle Registration Office is located across the street from the new driver’s license office location at 101 Pauahi St. It will be moved at a later date also to the 120 Pauahi St. site.
