Early notification allows users of the transfer station ample time to plan ahead for the closure.

The April 20-24 closure is necessary to address subsidence issues behind the chute retaining wall and ensure safety of facility users and staff.

Hawai‘i County Department of Environmental Management will provide additional operating days for the facility April 18 and 25 to accommodate the community.
