Classic cookies such as Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos and Trefoils are available. But there’s also a new flavor in town that’s ready to tickle your taste-buds.

Exploremores, a rocky road ice cream-inspired cookie, are filled with flavors of chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond crème.

“The Girl Scout cookie program is an amazing skill-building opportunity for girls and a fun, tasty way for the entire community to get involved,” said Girls Scouts of Hawaiʻi Chief Executive Officer Kanoe Nāone in an announcement about this year’s cookie sales. “When someone buys a box of cookies, they are investing in the future of our keiki and Hawaiʻi. The girls learn about leadership, goal setting, sales, marketing, communication and customer service — all skills they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives, setting them up for success.”

Customers can place online orders before Feb. 20 through a Girl Scout or Troop’s digital cookie website for personal delivery.

They can also use Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi’s Cookie Finder from Feb. 20 through the end of March to find nearby troops to purchase from in person or online.

All cookie season proceeds remain in Hawai‘i. Girls receive rewards based on the amount of packages they sell. They use proceeds to pay for travel, camps, service projects and more.

Girls decide exactly where to spend the money they raise from selling their cookies as a troop.

Cookie season provides experiences and builds important skills for girls from the state’s more than 196 troops statewide — 58 more than last year — throughout the entire community.

The Girl Scout cookie program is the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for girls.

Girl Scouts develop essential business skills at every level through age-appropriate financial literacy badges, growing from earning the cookie goal setter badge as a Daisy to completing the entrepreneur accelerator in high school.

The cookie program builds financial literacy, planning, budgeting, teamwork, innovative thinking and confident decision-making.

Visit the Girls Scouts of Hawaiʻi website to learn more about Girl Scouts and the cookie program.
