16 lane closures scheduled during week of Feb. 9-13 on Big Island state roadways

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following 16 scheduled lane closures and road work projects on Big Island state roadways on weekdays throughout the week of Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13.

HIGHWAY 11

HILO TO VOLCANO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 0 to 28 in the vicinity of Banyan Drive and Crater Rim Drive, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for removal of existing striping and installation of centerline rumble strip, striping, and pavement markers.

KURTISTOWN TO MOUNTAIN VIEW

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 10 to 16 in the vicinity of Hale Pule Loop and North Peck Road, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for cutting the grass.

VOLCANO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 27 to 30 in the vicinity of Haunani Road and Kilauea Military Camp, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for Hawaiian Electric installing new powerline poles and lines.

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 48 to 50, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for cutting the grass.

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 50 and 60, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for removal of existing striping, installation of centerline rumble strip, striping, and permanent markers.

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 100 to 102, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for tree trimming and shoulder work.

KEAHOU

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, between mile posts 115 to 116 in the vicinity of Puuloa Road and Walua Road, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9 to Friday, Feb. 13 for cutting the grass.
