Hawaiian Electric crews are scheduled to replace a utility pole this week in North Kona.

Work is planned for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 21, with an accompanying closure of the mauka lane of Kuakini Highway, between Ihilani Place and Ha‘awina Street, during the same time frame.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and drive with caution when approaching the work zone.

Flagmen will be at the work site to provide traffic control.
