Pāpaʻikou Recycling and Transfer Station to close temporarily for tree trimming

The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Environmental Management will temporarily close the Pāpaʻikou Recycling and Transfer Station starting Monday, Jan. 12, for tree trimming.

Due to the nature and location of the tree work, it is not possible to safely allow vehicles into the facility, according to the Department of Environmental Management. However, the short-term closure is necessary to protect public safety.
