Castle Resorts & Hotels names Oneha new sales, distribution and marketing chief

Castle Resorts & Hotels recently appointed Robert Oneha as the firm’s fractional chief of sales, distribution and marketing.

Oneha in his new position will focus on driving revenue growth and developing comprehensive sales strategies throughout the organization.

“Robert brings a deep understanding of both Hawai‘i’s hospitality market and the global travel landscape,” said Castle Resorts & Hotels President and Chief Executive Officer Matt Bailey in the firm’s announcement about Oneha’s hiring. “His ability to bridge those worlds, combining data-driven strategy with genuine local insight, will help us strengthen our partnerships and position Castle for continued growth.”

Oneha brings more than 30 years of experience in Hawai‘i’s tourism and hospitality industry, with 15-plus years dedicated to leading revenue and distribution initiatives for global travel brands.

He served as task force director of sales and distribution for Castle Resorts & Hotels earlier this year and has been in leadership positions with Airbnb, Hotels & Resorts of Halekūlani, Booking.com, Expedia Group and Aston Hotels & Resorts.

Oneha has also had sales and marketing roles with leading hotels and tour operators, including Halekūlani and Waikīkī Parc, Roberts Hawai‘i, Moloka‘i Ranch, Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hawai‘i and the opening of Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko ʻOlina.

He has specialized in revenue optimization and strategic business development during the past decade, working with major online travel distributors such as Airbnb, Expedia Group and Booking.com, where he established and managed the company’s permanent Honolulu office.
