Five programs available to keiki during winter break this year

Keiki can stay active while off of school during the upcoming winter break with the Winter Fun Program this year.

The County of Hawai‘i Department of Parks and Recreation will open registration for the 2025 Winter Fun Program on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The program will be offered at five locations where keiki will stay busy with a variety of arts, crafts, sports and other engaging activities. On Wednesday, parents and guardians can call the specific program contact listed below to schedule a registration appointment.

Kea‘au Armory/Herbert Shipman Park

  • Ages: 1st grade through 4th grade
  • Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Dates: Monday, Dec. 22 to Friday, Jan. 2
  • Cost: $35 per participant

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 12, parents and guardians can call the specific program contact listed above to schedule a registration appointment.

All payments must be made in cash, money order, or certified check, and programs will not be in session on Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1 in observance of the holidays.
