Last-minute haunts for Halloween 2025
The night might be waning, but that doesn’t mean the frightful fun of the Halloween holiday is finished.
There are still plenty of activities — including several haunted house attractions and events with more of an adult theme — happening yet tonight to get into some mischief, cast a few spells and show off your wicked side.
So here’s a last-minute list of haunts around the Big Island for Halloween 2025.

HAUNTED HOUSE ATTRACTIONS
“The Abandoned Orphanage” Haunted House & Keiki Carnival
- Until 10 p.m.; YWCA of Hawai’i Island; 145 Ululani St., Hilo; Admission: $7 or free for 5 and younger
Hilo Ghost Mansion
- Until 10 p.m.; Behind BJ Penn UFC Gym, 777 Kino‘ole St., Hilo; Admission: $15
Haunted House
- Until 10 p.m.; Island Wide Motors, 1672 Kamehameha Ave., Hilo; Admission: $10 for haunted house; it will be a night you’ll never forget. Trick-or-treating, keiki fun house, keiki booth with games and candy, food vendors, tarot readings, photo booths and live music with spooky beats and island vibes. Join if you dare!
Big Island Boys Haunted House
- Until 11 p.m.; 1750 Auwae Road, Pana‘ewa; Admission: $5 (if you dare)

Halloween with the Kona Elks
- Until 9 p.m.; Kona Elks Lodge, 75-170 Hualalai Road, Kailua-Kona; Admission: $20 ($5 discount for Elks members); DJ Hen Boogie is bringing the vinyl. Will be plenty of food, fun, music and dancing.
Punalights Halloween LIghtshow
- Until 10 p.m.; 15-2053 18th Ave., Kea’au; don’t miss this first Halloween light show by the same people who bring you the spectacular Christmas show every year. Note: no porta-potty and no Food Basket donation. WiFi network: Guest; password: punalights.
Halloween at Kaleo’s Orchidland
- Until 10 p.m.; Kaleo’s Orchidland, 16-110 Orchidland Drive; Orchidland; celebrate Halloween with a howling good time in Puna. Drink and dinner specials, DJ dance party with special guest emcee drag queen Kendra, costume contests with prizes, pumpking carving judging, trick-or-treating and even musical chairs with prizes.
Halloween Interactive Dance Party
- Until 10 p.m.; Big Island Social Dance Club, 74-5583 Luhia St., Suite A-1, Kailua-Kona; Admission: $20; Kona’s only interactive event. Bring your own beverage. Enjoy a full dinner, fun costumes, prizes and games. It will be an unforgettable night filled with music, laughter and Halloween spirit.
Uncle Charlie Halloween Party
- Until 10:30 p.m.; Korner Pocket, 81-970 Haleki’i St., B1, Kealakekua; featuring psychedelic jam rock with Steve Funday, Warren Nelson, Dave Ojeda and Tim Taylor. Plus, there will be a costume contest.
Halloween Spooktacular
- Until close; Kava Republic, 301 Keawe St., Hilo; if you don’t have Halloween plans, now you do! Scary good kavatails and activities for every-batty to enjoy, including a costume contest for anyone who wants to show off their gore-geous getup. See you there (if you dare)!
Halloween Bash
- Until close; Hidden Nēnē, 58 Furneaux Lane, Unit B, Hilo; haunted hideaway with creepy cocktails and a soundtrack of spooky tunes to set the mood. Costumes are the required ticket inside; if you don’t have one, the bar will get you sorted. They can’t wait to see your wicked side.
Kona Thriller!
- 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Willie’s Hot Chicken, 74-5599 Pawai Place, Suites 1 and 2, Kailua-Kona; Admission: $15; it’s the island’s ultimate Halloween bash! A night of frights and lights, booming beats and wicked energy. Costumes encouraged: Show off your spookiest, wildest or weirdest looks.
Victor’s Annual Halloween Karaoke Costume Party
- 9 p.m.; Kai Loki’s Resaurant and Bar, 92-8754 Hawai’i Boulevard, Ocean View; spookiest party in Ocean View. Must get a ticket before 10 p.m. and be present to win. Winners announced at midnight. Cash prizes for categories such as Best Couple, Best Overall, Most Creative and Consolation. Must be 21 years old or older to attend.
Broomstick Bash After Hours
- 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Koa’s Events, 11-3334 Hibiscus St., Mountain View; the night is just beginning after the spells are cast and crafts are complete. Step into the shadows for an electrifying after-party you’ll never forget. Live DJs, a costume contest and a potion bar bubbling all night long, with your donation keeping the cauldron flowing (this is NOT a BYOB event). Come ready to dance, vibe and stir up some late-night Halloween magic. Costumes encouraged. Mischief welcome.
