Update: Runway repair complete at Kona airport; were set to reopen earlier this afternoon

Update at 5:06 p.m. Oct. 30, 2025: Hawai’i Department of Transportation reported earlier this afternoon that work on the runway at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport was complete and staff was doing final checks.
They were on target to reopen at 2 p.m.
