Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Sept. 14-19.

—KANOELEHUA AVENUE (ROUTE 11) —
KEA‘AU
Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 5 to 7, in the vicinity of Old Volcano Road, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for mulching and shoulder work.
KEA‘AU
Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) in the southbound direction between mile post 5.5 to 5.8, in the vicinity of Macadamia Nut Road, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for maintenance of pocket markings and lane lines.
KEA‘AU
Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) in the southbound direction between mile post 6 to 6.3, in the vicinity of Kipimana Street, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for maintaining pocket markings, lane lines, and islands.
—VOLCANO ROAD (ROUTE 11) —
VOLCANO
Single lane closure on Volcano Road (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 30 to 31, in the vicinity of Kīlauea Military Camp and Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for paving at the entrance of Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. Mauna Loa Road will be used as an exit from the park.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 58 to 60, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for cutting grass.
NĀ‘ĀLEHU
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 60 to 71, in the vicinity of Kahuku Ranch Road, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for restriping, installation of centerline rumble strips and pavement markers.
KEAUHOU
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 113.5 to 116.5, in the vicinity of Daifukuji Buddhist Temple and West Hawaii Road, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for removal of existing striping, installation of centerline rumble strip, striping, and pavement markers.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 4 to 5, in the vicinity of Kahoa Place, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for bridge maintenance.
PAPAIKOU
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile post 7 to 9, in the vicinity of Hajime Lane and Old Onomea Road, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for cutting grass.
HAKALAU
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 14 and 18, in the vicinity of Old Māmalahoa Highway and Government Main Road, on Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for cutting trees and grading shoulder.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 18.5 to 24.3, Sept. 15 to Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for boring for soil samples.
O‘OKALA
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 32.2 to 32.6, in the vicinity of Government Main Road, on Sept. 16 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for maintenance of Kaala Bridge.

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 33 to 33.5, in the vicinity of Kekualele Bridge, on Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for maintenance of the bridge.
