Baggage screening delays reported at airport in Kona

Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keāhole is experiencing baggage screening delays.
Staff are conducting manual screenings of bags.
Hawai‘i Department of Transportation advises anyone traveling with checked luggage to arrive at the airport at least an hour and a half before their scheduled departure time.
It is unknown at this time why there are baggage screening delays. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
