Hawai‘i Island police seek public help in identifying suspect in theft investigation

Hawai‘i Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a person of interest in a cellphone theft and identity theft investigation that was reported in the South Kohala District.

The incident occurred on July 23, 2025.

The suspect is Caucasian male, between 5-feet 9-inches and 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with long curly dark hair with a dark beard, wearing a blue t-shirt, brown shorts, black shoes, and carrying a large backpack.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or email Officer Kiley Loo at Kiley.loo@hawaiicounty.gov.
