Police seek help identifying woman caught on camera allegedly thieving wallet from parking lot
Hawai‘i Island police are investigating an alleged theft from a shopping center in the 73-4300 block of Hawai‘i Belt Road in Kailua-Kona and want to know if anyone from the public’s can help identify the suspect who was caught on camera.
A woman reported dropping her wallet, which contained cash and identification, in the parking lot of the shopping center — which is likely the Matsuyama Food Mart convenience store center, which also houses Head to Sole Massage and Kay’s Kitchen — at 3 p.m. July 6.
Video surveillance footage shows an unknown woman picking up the wallet and placing it inside a gray 2023 Jeep Wrangler, with Hawai‘i license plate ZLK 608, before leaving the area.
