The communication major at University of Hawai’i at Hilo — with a subject certificate in educational studies — has worked at Kīpuka Native Hawaiian Student Center, allowing her to live these values and build pilina (relationships) through authentic interactions.

Tollefson-Kelly’s passion for education and service will be in the spotlight Saturday as she addresses her fellow students, the faculty, administrators and others in attendance at Vulcan Gymnasium in Hilo and watching live online during University of Hawai’i at Hilo’s 2024 fall commencement.

The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. and limited to invited guests only; however, can be viewed via YouTube.
