The Hawaii Police Department said motorists should avoid Pohaku Drive in the Orchidland subdivision in Keaʻau due to flooding.

The specific area is at the intersection of 39th and 40th avenues.

Heavy rain has created heavy ponding on the roadway and has closed both lanes of traffic that requires a detour for the next several hours. Drive with caution.
