Update: Power restored to more than 3,000 Hawaiian Electric customers in N. Kona

A power outage in North Kona affecting 3,444 Hawaiian Electric customers has been restored.

The outage was caused by a tree branch and was not a Public Safety Power Shutoff.

The outage was initially reported at 5:25 a.m. in the Hōlualoa and Kealakehe areas. It was restored at 6:22 a.m.
