No injuries were reported following a structure fire at a Pāhoa eatery Tuesday night.

At 8:41 p.m., Hawai‘i Fire Department responded to Pele’s Kitchen, located on Pāhoa Village Road. When they arrived on scene, crews found the fire was contained to the restaurant’s attached storage area, 25-by-20-foot, and was 75% involved in flames.

Firefighters from three engine companies attacked the fire and a tanker also responded to supply additional water and manpower.

Hawai‘i Island police closed Pāhoa Village Road until the fire was extinguished and overhauled. No one was found in the structure at the time of the fire.
