Police continue search for missing Pa‘auilo woman

Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 60-year-old Haunani Trask Gibson of Pa‘auilo.
 
Gibson has not been seen or heard from since early November 2023, when a family member went to check on her at her residence in the Kalōpā area off of Highway 19, near the 39-mile marker. Gibson’s family and friends are deeply concerned for her welfare.  
 
Gibson is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall,110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
 
Police ask anyone who may have any information on Gibson’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or Detective Amy Omaya of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at 808-961-2381, or via email at Amy.Omaya@hawaiicounty.gov.
