In celebration of National Grief Awareness Day, Kona Community Hospital and Kōkua Mau are presenting “Let’s Talk Story,” a free advanced care planning discussion.

“Learn how to talk to your loved ones about what matters most,” organizers said. “Share about the kind of care you want to receive from your doctor. Feel more confident and ready for the future.”

A Lavender Ceremony and celebration of life will follow. To RSVP and submit names of lost loved ones to be read in the Lavender Ceremony, email KCHcircleoflife@hhsc.org.

Kōkua Mau is a community organization dedicated to helping people talk about their wishes for care at the end of life.
