Trail and area closures at Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park

Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park will experience temporary closures from 6 to 11 a.m. on July 6, 12 and 19 to provide public safety during the removal of invasive, non-native
vegetation using helicopter operations.

July 6

  • Temporary closures will include Hale Hoʻokipa Visitor Contact Station and parking lot, and the main trail from Hale Ho’okipa to the Honokōhau shoreline and the Honokōhau Berm Gate.

July 12

  • Temporary closures will include Hale Hoʻokipa Visitor Contact Station and parking lot, and the main trail from Hale Ho’okipa to the Honokōhau shoreline and the Honokōhau Berm Gate.
