Motorists should avoid Maile Street and Moaula Road in Pāhala due to a brush fire, according to the Hawaiʻi Island Police Department.
Motorists are advised to use Kamani Street as an alternate route.
The brush fire has caused the road closure of Maile Street (between Highway 11 and Pikake Street) and Moaula Road (between Highway 11 and Maile Street).
