Donald James Sniffin

Big Island police are asking for help from the public with locating a 22-year-old man from Honolulu who has been missing since September.

Donald James Sniffin, a resident of Honolulu who is originally from Hilo, reportedly flew to Hilo in late September. The Hawai‘i Police Department reports that his family has not seen or heard from him since and he has not returned to his Honolulu home.

Sniffin is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with dirty-blond hair and hazel eyes. He has black-colored tribal tattoos covering his neck and right forearm.

Anyone with information about Sniffin’s whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact Detective Kimo Keliipaakaua with the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at 808-961-2375 or via email at Kimo.Keliipaakaua@hawaiicounty.gov.
