At 9 p.m. on Nov. 4, the Hawaiʻi Police Department advised motorists that the Hilo-bound lanes of Highway 11 between Old Volcano Road and Highway 139 in Keaʻau are closed due to a traffic investigation. The closure is expected to last for the next several hours.
Traffic is being detoured through Old Volcano Road.
