A winter weather advisory has been issued from Big Island summits, including Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa until noon.

According to the National Weather Service, layered clouds will generate periods of freezing rain this morning across the summits, mainly above 13,000 feet.

The roads are expected to be slick. There may be periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
