Big Island Weekly Lane Closures: Sept. 3-9
Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for the week of Sept. 3-9. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
There will be no daytime closures on Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day. The AM northbound Highway 130 Contraflow does not operate on State Holidays.

NĀ‘ĀLEHU (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 65 and 67, Ka‘alualu Road to vicinity of Ailani Orchards, on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass mowing/trimming.
NĀ‘ĀLEHU
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 67 and 69, vicinity of Ailani Orchards to South Point Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for grass mowing/trimming.
CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 108 and 109, Government Main Road and Captain Cook Village Road, on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder work and mechanical mowing.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 108 and 110, Ke‘ei/Rabbit Hill Road and Captain Cook Village Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscaping.

HAKALAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)
Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 14.2 and 14.3, vicinity of Kolekole Stream, on Saturday, Sept. 3, through Friday, Sept. 9, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for bridge work. There is no scheduled work on Monday, Sept. 5.
