Mayor Mitch Roth will be delivering opening remarks at an upcoming ShopBigIsland.com business forum and workshop hosted by Hawai‘i Island Visitors Bureau and Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce in Hilo.

The forum will take place from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. Registration is free at ShopBigIsland.com, though seating is limited.

Hawai‘i Island businesses have a new tool to help them promote their products and services. ShopBigIsland.com launched in 2021 as a free platform for businesses to share information and specials and now includes additional platforms for free job and event listings. Because supporting local businesses is so important, especially right now, Hawai‘i Roth is encouraging participation on the platform with a PSA and by sharing some remarks at the ShopBigIsland.com forum and marketing workshop on Aug. 25.
