4 Hilo Area Organizations to Receive Grant-In-Aid Funds From State Legislature
Four Hilo area organizations are getting a financial boost from the state.
State Sen. Laura Acasio, who represents Hilo, announced in a press release that the organizations were chosen to receive grant-in-aid funds from the state Legislature. The four awardees will receive a total of more than $1.7 million.
The organizations awarded grand-in-aid funds and how much are as follows:
- The ARC of Hilo ($372,397)
- Boys and Girls Club of the Big Island ($800,000)
- Going Home Hawai‘i ($250,000)
- Hawai‘i County Economic Opportunity Council ($350,000)
“These are four organizations that provide vital services to our keiki, neighbors and family members,” Acasio said in the press release. “This funding will allow these organizations to continue to do their incredibly important work, which ultimately helps improve our community at large.”
