The county Department of Environmental Management said in a news release that a one-lane traffic pattern will be in effect near The Fish Hopper restaurant and shoulder parking will be closed at Ka‘ahumanu Place while crews work. The repairs are scheduled for 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and begin Thursday, April 21.

The makai lane of Ali‘i Drive near The Fish Hopper will intermittently be used for contra-flow traffic. On Ka‘ahumanu Place, shoulder parking/loading will be partially closed to accommodate equipment for sewer line repairs.

Flaggers will be present to direct traffic. Work is expected to be finished by or before April 26.

“Motorists can expect delays when contra-flow is in place and should allow for extra travel time to get to their destinations,” said the press release. “The Department of Environmental Management asks for your patience and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.”
