Makahiki Ikaika Moala

Authorities seek the public’s help locating a 17-year-old boy reported as a runaway.

Makahiki Ikaika Moala was last seen in Hilo on Jan. 17 at 5 p.m. wearing grey shorts, a grey hoody and shoes. He is described as having a dark complexion and slim build, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with brown eyes and dark wavy hair that is sometimes dyed.

Moala is known to frequent the Panaʻewa and Keaukaha areas of Hilo.

Hawai‘i police ask anyone who may have information on Moala’s whereabouts to contact Acting Detective Corey M. Kaneko at 808-961-8843 or the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
