One of the Big Island’s newest animal advocacy groups is hosting “Spring Into Fur Love,” an animal adoption event from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at the Leilani Community Center Pavilion, 13-3441 Moku St. in Pāhoa.

The Action 4 Animals- A4A adoption event will give people an opportunity to meet some wonderful cats and dogs who are looking for a home, the even organizers stated in a press release.

Action 4 Animals – A4A is a new animal advocacy collaborative group made up of experienced individuals from both cat and dog rescue backgrounds, which focuses on giving neglected animals a chance at a new life in loving homes by way of adoption events with local rescue groups, coordinating rescue fly-outs to the mainland and providing veterinarian care when needed. It also facilitates food provision, fostering and spay/neuter access.
