Daily New Case Counts Continue Decline, 150 Reported Tuesday

The state Department of Health reported 150 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 234,701. No new fatalities were reported.

A total of 26 new infections were identified Tuesday on the Big Island. Hawai‘i County Civil Defense reported 954 active COVID cases and 14 people hospitalized on the Big Island.

The next community testing is scheduled for noon-7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo.

• Pending: 0
• Out-of-State: 5,618

A total of 8,136 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,304 have died.
