3,955 New COVID Cases, 5 Deaths Reported Saturday

The state Department of Health reported 3,955 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 199,106. Five new fatalities were reported.

A total of 484 new infections were identified Saturday on the Big Island. The Hawaiʻi Civil Defense Agency reports 5,536 active cases, and 44 persons hospitalized.

A total of at least 7,083 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,142 have died.
