3,099 New Cases, 3 Deaths Reported Friday

The state Department of Health reported 3,099 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 160,031. Three new fatalities were reported.

A total of 97 new infections were identified Friday on the Big Island. The Hawaiʻi Civil Defense reported 3,657 active cases, and 42 persons hospitalized.

A total of 5,408 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,117 have died.
