The Hawai‘i Police Department is inviting residents to “Coffee with a Cop” talk story session from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 14 in Kealakekua at the Kona Grill House, 81-951 Haleki‘i Street.

“Coffee with a Cop” is community policing at its core. It encourages community members to get to know their police officers over a cup of coffee. Stop by and get to know your district and Community Police Officers over a cup of coffee; discuss topics of mutual interest and concern.

The department stated in a news release that it will adhere to all social distancing guidelines maintaining the six feet distance and wearing of masks. It will also be restricting access should the max capacity be reached. Tables and chairs will be sanitized after each use.

This event will be subject to change with regard to COVID-19 restrictions and or additional proclamations issued by county and state government.
