One lane on Daniel K. Inouye Highway between Hilo and Mauna Kea Road junction is closed due to a truck fire.
Hawaii Police Department sent out a push alert at 3:30 p.m. indicating both lanes near mile marker 14 were closed. Photos on social media show vehicles backed up on the highway.

At 4:10 p.m., police reported one lane had reopened.
