DOH Reports 1,561 New COVID Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 1,561 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 106,158. Three new fatalities were reported.

A total of 26 new infections were identified Wednesday on the Big Island. The Civil Defense reported 666 active cases, and six persons hospitalized.

A total of 5,249 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,085 have died.
